Home-School Partnership at The Garden School

At The Garden School, we believe in creating strong partnerships with parents. We have a whole school approach to parental engagement. We work closely with the school's therapy teams and families to understand each child's unique needs. We know that there are many additional challenges faced by families with SEND children and we are committed to providing a collaborative school environment to provide extra support when needed.

In the first instance please contact:

  • Your Child’s Class Teacher
This is your first point of contact for anything related to the school day or curriculum activities.
  • Safeguarding Concerns
If you have any safeguarding worries, please ask to speak to Lucy Davies, our Safeguarding Lead for Children and Families. She will be happy to arrange an appointment.
  • Parent Support
For any other support, please contact Ayesha Taylor, Lead Parent Support Officer. Just call the school to book an appointment.

Parent Engagement

Join Our Parent Activities at The Garden School

  • Tuesday Coffee Mornings (Garden Site)
Every Tuesday morning, we host a friendly and supportive coffee morning for parents. These sessions often include guest speakers who share helpful SEND-related information.
  • Parent Workshops
Each year, parents have the chance to attend a variety of engaging workshops run by our OT and SaLT teams. Some sessions are available online for your convenience.
  • Parent Lunch Club
On the last Wednesday of each month, join us at The Pavilion Café from 12:30–1:30pm. Enjoy 30% off your lunch, meet other parents from across the school, or simply relax with a quiet coffee.

Please check Class Dojo regularly for the latest updates on these events, which run throughout the year at both the Pavilion and Garden sites.

Free Yoga Class

A local yoga centre, Yoga Home, offers a free yoga class for our parents every Wednesday morning at 10:00 am. It’s just a 2-minute walk from the main Garden site on Allen Road—a perfect way to relax and destress.
